Citadel Roofing & Solar is looking for a Solar CAD Designer to join our Team. This position is based in West Sacramento, CA. This is a full-time position. We are looking to hire someone on or after July 1st.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or revise residential plan sets for photovoltaic, battery and generator system installation utilizing CAD. Plan sets include electrical schematics, structural details, and equipment specifications. System installations may include commercial projects.
- Meet design department production goals and timelines.
- Work with building departments, utilities, or other AHJ to ensure compliance with local and national building codes.
- Knowledge of basic electrical design, theory, and concepts.
- Work with and provide technical assistance to project coordinators, customers, and other departments as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of the NEC and all building codes applicable for proper solar, and electrical system designs.
- Provide other work as necessary to assist permitting, proposals, and technical information aspects of solar system design and production.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and/or directed.
Qualifications:
- General construction knowledge ideal but not required
- 1-3 years of CAD-related solar, battery and/or electrical experience
- Process management experience required
- Knowledge of residential construction.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
